Default 2nd attempt: Can I safely pull the fuse for my ABS?

I asked this a few days ago and it must be too old to answer =P I wanted to know if I can pull my fuse so I don't have to live with brakes locking up at every light. I'm including the orginal thread addey.

Original question thread - CLICK ME!

Default Yes, you can. Better is to pull the harnes off of the computer to the pump....

it's underneath, 2 wire deal that feeds power to the pump. That way, the rest of the car isn't the wiser. Then, when you have the time, you can addres the real problem, which as advised, is probably a dirty ABS wheel sensor.. Easiest way to clean them is to either pull them out of their mount (often easier said than done) or pulling the axle out of the upright, and giving the ABS ring a good cleaning. I have seen broken ABS rings on the older cars, which would confuse the ABS in a big way..

Default Sensors are easy to get to?

Just take the wheel off and they're right there? Suggestion on what's the best cleaning medium? And where is the pump so I can detach the harness, is this a fairly simple task? Sorry for the rapid fire questions and thanks for all the info, btw!

Default Well, kinda.. They are visible when you take the wheels off, behind the brakes....

Usually opposite from the calipers. Use brake parts cleaner...

The pump is under the ABS block on the driver's side of the engine bay, behind the washer fluid tank.

Default What about getting to the pump?

Are there panels to remove or anything I'll have to get around? How difficult is this going to be? Btw, your sig pictures are distracting...well, distractingly HOT would be more accurate I suppose

Default Just have a look.. It's right there. Not to be unhelpful, but some things require you to investigate

things vary from car to car, depending on what is missing or not. That, and I don't have a great photo handy.
