You will get very thin oil if the car is washing down cylinders. I have isolated this as the cause of a bearing failure when we were starting to tune.

That drag racers rebuild their motors after each run and break it in while in the pits.
034 did the break in on my new rebuild right on the dyno just by running it for a few hrs, then they threw in 1000cc injectors and tuned it to get 556whp.
I dont see why you think that driving it on the street for 1500 miles it the "best" way to break in a motor.
