Default Keep an eye on oil if running rich, if you can smell gas on dipstick -change the oil

You will get very thin oil if the car is washing down cylinders. I have isolated this as the cause of a bearing failure when we were starting to tune.

Default Thanks for the tip. Im not running THAT rich and I check the oil daily.

See...I dont know why folks (not everyone...but certain people) cant give advise like you do. Always helpful and never condescending

That drag racers rebuild their motors after each run and break it in while in the pits.

034 did the break in on my new rebuild right on the dyno just by running it for a few hrs, then they threw in 1000cc injectors and tuned it to get 556whp.


I dont see why you think that driving it on the street for 1500 miles it the "best" way to break in a motor.

Default LOL, going to need more then injectors to do that.

Good luck with that, by next year I should be in the 700+whp area.
