3 months from HELL!!!!!!! How my engine blew up and my best guess as to what caused it......

Old water pump is still in tact...I got that too. guide didnt fallout, chunk of valve broke off.
Im just taking pics of the parts I got back from my buddy. I got a bunch of bent and cracked valves and guides. Didnt overheat the engine or warp anything. I think the tensioner skipping a few teeth is the best responce I heard so far.

Heard the K&N thing is BS! Only if u put it in dripping with oil do people have issues......
I know.......i did that one time too (-;.....it wasnt dripping but i didnt wait long enough for it to dry.

These prices are from 2 years ago. Dont know if they dropped alot since, I know the coilpacks did..
I know its a book, but i mentioned the new tires. Nokian All-weather plus. not cheap as u can see. awesome in the snow.....when there is less than a foot. haha.

I disagree. My maf went after 6 months with a brand new K&N filter
I put it in. Fricken thing killed my maf at the track (that may have helped kill it so soon).

I got a new one after the exposion. No issues in the year and a half plus since .....
Ive taken it out and cleaned it too. I did not put much oil back on at all and i let it dry for a few hours this time.

The filters are not killing mafs.. The words BOSCH on the side of them kill them
bosch can make some damn nice drill bits but when it comes to certain car parts they need to just give up...
The MAfs are bad.. its documented by both Audi and VW, Hell there are extended warranties on many of them.
