30-35k service 1?? And any former Imprezza RS owners here??
To all,
Just brought a used 97A4q 5speed auto. No problems. "IN SERVICE 1" light keeps flashing. I'm not going to take it in just yet till it's time to get the oil change (in about another month). I just want to know what the "IN SERVICE 1" means, and what the dealership is supposed to do.
I already know about the 60k service, and that will not be for another 2 years.
Also, who else on this list used to own an imprezza RS??

Re: IN1 -- You're due for your 30k service....it's mentioned in the Owner's Manual (if you have one)

30k service is one of the "major" ones....
...tune-up stuff like:
- spark plugs
- air filter
- interior pollen filter
- oil & filter change
- possibly the fuel filter
- possibly brake fluid (I think the interval is every 24 months)
- a bunch of checks and inspections of various things.
