710N vs Forge 007: Which one do you prefer?
#3
My opinion ...
Diaphram DVs are faster and more responsive than piston style DVs. Properly oriented (boost to edge) the 710N is fine for boost levels in the 21-22 psi range. Above that I'd look at Greddy or APRs new offering. I run the Greddy ... no first hand knowledge on APRs.
I had a Forge .. got tired of the whack when lifting after high boost and the near constent need to service the damn thing. I ran the 710n for years before buying the Greddy and would have no problem going back to it.
my .0075$ worth

That said... I now have this one, and I must say I am VERY impressed with the quality.
I ordered it and was hesitant, but it's NICE.
I am very happy with it.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&sspagename=S TRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=26011427141 3&rd=1,1">Fleabay: BPV looks like a Forge/all metal slightly bigger stock replacement.</a></li>

For what application? I've run a 710N in my chipped A4 for 6 years now
now worries. Swapped it out a few months back thinking it may be on its last legs after all that time.
Looked new. Sent it to Silver whatever for his tool box

I have the X-chip. did both at around 5k and have 70k now. Swapped it out a few months ago and it was like new....

The stock one was fine at 8 years old, but gave up the ghost when Shep 1.8T snapped the nipple off
Easy enough to do and he replaced it for free.
