Default It was the only thing I could think of as to why there was a rev difference.
What would you say is the cause for such things?

Default yup, the only time I could see that happen is if it was an auto tranny...
in which case the torque converter might up the rpms or even downshift, just like when driving up a steep hill.

nope. wheel speed is directly tied to engine rpm in each gear, wind won't do anything.
