Hi,
I bought a 97 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro a year ago. Since I bought it, I have been taking it to local Audi specialist mechanic shop (M&M Audi House in the SJ bay area) for oil changes and other repairs. The odometer read 89K, and I wanted to get 90K service done early. Besides the usual spark plug, filter, etc. service, the guy (Pete) at M&M told me that I should have timing belt and water pump replaced.
What was shocking to me was the cost. The regular service costs about $300 and timing belt and water pump about $700. It seems a little high, but he has been doing a good job on my car, so I went ahead and told him to get it done. I am just curious how much it has cost other people.
Is $1000 average cost for $90K service?
