Default Yes, run worse than 93 octane with 0% ethanol.

Ethanol has less power per cubic inch than the gasoline it's in. Even though it has a higher octane rating, that still doesn't make it better.

10% Ethanol is added to our gas here in MN by mandate thanks to the idiotic corn grower's association lobbyists.

Default Not really

Also forgot to mention that the ethanol does not burn at the same rate as the gasoline it's in.. so it doesn't run quite as smooth either.

If your state has mandated 10% ethanol, you may be able to find stations with "non-oxy" fuel. (no ethanol).

Default there are stations without it and with it. I guess Shell here carries 10% ethanol in all their gases

because on the pump I filled up on last night or before it said "our gas contains 10% ethanol" and nothing else, like no explanation of why they do and others don't or nothing. Just curiuos what it meant. Figured it was like putting 94 octane if it's 93 octane at the pump. just my guess ?

Default If the pump says 93, and it's 10% ethanol.. it's 93.

I would avoid that gas. It has a higher sensitivity, which is bad. They basically use crap gas, then add ethanol to get the octane rating up... vs starting with better gas in the first place.

The rating is the rating AFTER the ethanol was added, not before. So the RON and MON averages are 93. I'm guessing they just start with mostly 87 octane, then add enough ethanol to bring it up to 93.
