Hey, I'm having some problems with my 96 A4.
Basically the check engine light came on about a week ago, read the codes. Had a misfire on cylinder 6. As well as the system was running lean codes on bank 1 and 2.
Had work so I figured it'd be fine with the misfire? It was driving fine, parked. When I came out 3 hours later it would not start. Tried a few times and it would start but the car would shake violently and at idle the rpms would be very low many around 200. It would die around 10 seconds after.
It's no longer even starting. As well as when I turn the key it cranks slow.
So doing some research on the fourms I have so far started with simple things.
Changed spark plugs
Had the battery tested was bad so replaced
Replaced the coolant temp sensor
Replaced Mass air flow sensor
Replaced Crank Position sensor
I tested for spark, its getting spark
I removed the fuel line and would turn the key to the on position to prime the fuel pump to test if it was getting to the fuel rail. So it's getting gas.
One other thing, to noticed the Ignition control module that mounts to the air intake box wasn't attached to the heat sink. Would this cause it to burn out and not to start?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
