96 A4 Delta head unit swap for a concert 2 cd layer form europe?
Can I change my stock Delta head unit form my 1996 audi a4 with a Concert 2 CD player from europe? I know it can be done with the 99 model but the 99 comes with a different head unit.

You can replace with a concert 1 .
If you need to program it (Bose/ non Bose )you will need to splice in a k-line.
Concert 2 use can-bus communications so you can't program it in the A4.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ibiblio.org/tkan/audi/radios/radios.html">Radio info</a></li></ul>

everything is possible
I did this to my 1997 A4 , and now to my A6

however three things you need to keep it mind,
1. you buy Concert 2 from Europe you will loose AM stations if you listen to them
2. second you need to purchase can-bus adapter to enable lights at night and disable shut down feature every hour, can bus adapter will cost you around 150 us..
3. you need to wire to K-line from connector to radio to change code if you have BOSE or non-bose, because you don't know how this radio is setup..
Concert 1 is the easies setup but still needs rewiring..
