Ahh, ok. I just changed my spark plugs and that didnt solve a thing. My car doesnt really shake to be quite honest. The engine just ticks really loud, like it needs a major valve adjustment. I talked with the service guy at the dealer and he said it was most likely my coil pack. I'd like to try someone elses coil packs to see if that actually solves the problem before i go buy them.

BUT, before you spend $250 on that part, go to you autoparts store and get new plugs. More than likely it's not the plugs, but it's only like $5 for 4 so it's worth a shot. Order the amplifier from Suncoast Audi or Clairparts, it will be 10-15% cheaper than your dealer (list price is $280). You can replace this yourself, two bolts and two plugs...takes 2 minutes. Good luck

I have had the same problem. I changed all of the plugs with NGK plugs (gap .32) and the car is running smooth now. Dealer said it was carbon build up, but cyl. head and valves were replaced 3 months ago and plugs looked OK. If it happens again I will move to the coilpacks and then ignition control module. I will post if the problem comes back.
