I have a silver 97 audi a4 auto..Ill start with the bad a few weeks ago i went to go to work and the car would not shift into reverse and when in reverse it would not show up on the dash or move...i took it to a local mechanic and he told me that it needed a trans range sensor paid 580 for the sensor still didnt fix it then bought a trans controll unit and also didnt fix the car..i took it to another shop to a mna that knows vw and has the right software he coded the tcu and it still wont shift.the gear shifter kept getting stuck in lower gears and when i jammed it out i lost all gears(before in the shop) i only had hinm code it he didnt look at any thign else now i know its not mechanical never had a problem with the trans always shifted smooth it in like lock mode or something i dont kno much about the mechanics of car..The car is sitting in selbyville de any one interested call or tex and ill send pics..it has black leather inter perfect except a small tear in driver seat..Has the trans range sensor 2 perfect working tcu.brand new tires that dont even have 50 miles new front breaks and rotors 2 new front wheel bearing new cats..iv invested alot of money in this car and am finished with audi for now..if interested pleae call 410937604six
