What people? The pimple faced kid working the parts counter at a autoparts store that probably has no idea what coolant does anyway. Get that green crap out!!!

Drain the rad and flush clean water through. Refill with clean water, burp the air out, and let engine heat up and cycle the water through the block. Drain and repeat until water comes out clean. Then refill with proper pink or purple Audi coolant and pray that you didn't goo everything up and need a new rad + heater core.

Could be the source of your overheating, but regardless the fans should come on with A/C so more diagnostics is needed on them as well.

FYI green coolant is "old style" most vehicles (not just Audis) haven't used it for years. Mixing green with pretty much any new style more "environmentally friendly" coolant is going to clog things up. It looks like thick brown condensed tomato soup.
