no, thats why i put "risk" in quotes....
back in the day when stock A4s shipped with .5bar of boost...going all the way to 1bar seemed drastic. Then stock A4s shipped with .6-.7bar boost and a .8bar "sport" versions were shipped in some countries overseas. Add that to the release of the TT-225(same internals, different turbo) and going to 1bar is obviously well within the engine's capability.
Just owning a turbo-charged car requires some special care, this becomes more important when you add more boost. The care I'm referring to is proper cool down after hard runs and the use of synthetic motor oil. Addition of a better BPV is recommended to.
