Hey Everybody,
I've read a few of the posts on here about the headlight problem. After what I've read, I'm about 80% certain it's going to be in the headlight switch. But my car's behaving a little differently so I thought I'd double check the forum's wisdom before tearing into the steering column.
1998 A4
1. Only the driver's side headlight is out
2. When I pull the switch back, driver's side high beam still doesn't work.
3. Sidelights and blinkers are fine.
4. "Light bulb out" indicator is on
5. The headlight problem is intermittent, so I know it's not a bulb or fuse.
Sound like melted contacts on the headlight switch?
If I'm going to take the switch out, would it be prudent to just replace it with a new OEM switch?
Thanks Fellas!
