Yes, I have done this to two of my windows but a long time ago. The process is actually quite simply but laborious.
In very simple terms you have to take the door panels off. The tough part is getting to the screws, that hold the window panes. To get to them you have to get between the door skin and the window pane. This is a very tight fit, but once you have done this the window comes loose and you can access the regulator. This is a simple take the old one and and put the new one in type of deal.
I did some serious scrapping of my knuckles getting to the screws but it was between that and paying Audi the outrageous cost for doing it themselves.
If you have a friend in the tinting business he will be able to help, but if you take the door panels off, You should be able to see what I am talking about.
I started a tech article on the process but then got lazy.
Give it a shot. Wish I could give you more.
Good luck
