Are '99, '00 and '01 tip transmissions interchangeble? How hard is it to swap in 5spd in a tip car?

auto gearboxes have various codes and each code usually has a corresponding TCU
I dont know what TCU is cross compatible with what gearbox code.
as for swapping to a manual, thats a lot of hard work.

5spd hard work? pedals, master cylinder, drive shaft and tranny? unless I have to cut and weld....
so you are saying that I better get '01 tip tranny to make sure everything is compatible with current tranny computer etc?
