Did anyone order a 99 A4 2.8 Avant this week or a week ago. My dealer tells me Audi isn't taking any orders for this model and he doesn't know if they will in the future. He was told by Audi that A4 Avant will be available with 1.8T. If one wants 2.8 one has to order an A6. I don't mind the A6, but I hate automatic transmissions. Any comments?

i've heard that the Avant will be avail with both engines, but QUATTRO only <br>Edmunds price guide shows both....

They haven't taken any orders yet for '99 Avants w/2.8 because the first half of '99 Avant prod. is ONLY 1.8, then they'll start 2.8 with Jan. or Feb. prod., which would make them 99.5s.
