99 A4 Smoking Real Bad..HELP!!

hey im having close to the same problem. i recently bought a 97 a4 1.8t quattro and it recently had a new turbo installed. its the same size turbo the all the internals were replaced. and now the temp bounces from around 1/4 to 1/2 as well as white smoke comes out of the exhaust. its not sweet and there is no antifreeze in the oil. when the car idles for around 10 min the temp slowly increases. white smoke comes out the exhaust. its not condensation because the car is when this happens. if anyone can help that would be awesome and sorry for stealing this thread!

the plugs were recently replaced and the turbo was professionally rebuilt but the previous owner replaced it, he has 3 other audi's and had to replace a few on those so i trust he knows what hes doing. i picked this car up around a week and a 1/2 ago, it was running perfectly and now the white smoke after a moderatly hard drive. after researching i think i didnt give the turbo enough time to break in...

I just took out the turbo and is in really bad shape. Even broke the center shaft and there was oil everywhere. So white smoke and no other simptoms YOU HAVE A BLOWN TURBO! Now the question is why did it blew?? I was reading that afterket turbo are not as strong as the genuine and that they should no be used for daily driving. IS THIS TRUE??? ANYONE HELP!!
