Default 99 Head Unit

I want to put in an aftermarket head unit. I check the Metra site to see which adapters i would need. I know which dash kit i need. Now my question is which wiring harness and antenna adapter do i need the site lists about 6 different antenna adapters and 2 wiring harnesses. Also sounddomain.com sad i need a OEM interface adapter. Can anyone tell me exactly which parts i need. Also is it worth buying the tool to remove the stock head unit or is there something i can use besides that to remove it.

Thanks,
Paul

Default VWAB is the antenna adapter

IIRC (it's been a few years).

i'm not 100% sure on the harness, sorry. I just tapped into power, switched, and ground since i'm not running any stock wiring.

also know that you'll be re-wiring the rear speakers, and front speakers too if you've got a Bose setup.

Why would i have to rewire the rear speakers. This isnt my car its my uncles so i have no clue how the setup is. Ive never had a car that required me to run new wires but then again ive never worked on an audi. If anyone has any info for me please let me know, my uncle has been bugging me for about a month now lol.

Default rear speakers are amplified

and thus you need to bypass that amp (it's on one of the rears with a wire running to the other, IIRC.) with an aftermarket HU

Ok so, there has to be a way to do it without running new wires. The OEM interface thing that the one site tol dme about looks like i need it. The speakers are connected to the amp with a normal speaker cable correct? And the amp is connected to the Head unit with what kind of cable, RCA? If its an RCA ill be able to do it no problem with the OEM interface adapter. If its some special cable it might be difficult. I think before i do anyhting i gotta get a wiring diagram of the audio system and take out the head unit and see how it looks back there. If you can help me out with any more info please let me know. Thanks
