99 trunk liner to 00+ trunk liner with CD changer
I acquired a CD changer, and ran out of room to install it neatly in the trunk with the current setup of speakers, amps, and sub. So I "upgraded" my trunk liner to the newer style. Ran down to the local junk yard and picked up the liner as well as the CD changer bracket and came home. The liner and bracket bolt in pretty easily for the most part. The bottom trunk liner I didn't bother changing out however. I had to trim one side of it to fit where the cover for the CD changer goes. The color isn't identical between the 2, but it's close enough for me.
I made a custom bracket to bolt my Kenwood cd changer to the factory Audi cd changer bracket.
The new trunk liner looks cleaner than the old one and I think I get a bit more trunk space. Could be just my imagination though.
I had to relocate my jack temporarily to the cubby hole on the right side of the trunk. The jack normally would have went where my CD changer goes. I may make a custom bracket to put it back there. I also had to cut a small rectangular hole in the new liner so I would have a place for the trunk light.

Man isnt that trunk liner a pain in the *** to remove?...
I just removed it today as part of my "reduce the cars weight where you cant see it project" and I didnt realize you needed to take out the rear seats just to get it out.
