Say stuff like what? It's survival of the fittest. I'm supposed to feel bad about this crap?
Feel bad about idiots getting what they deserve? No. Some people hit the lottery, others get hit by lightning. **** happens, but when you stand in an open field with a 12ft. long metal pole, you're asking for it.

Re: This is happening too much.
It's a tragedy that those kids will never be old enough to look back and see how stupid they really were to drive recklessly like that.
If you can't handle the speed... don't.

Re: it's really too bad.
For the first few months after I got my driver's license at 18, my parents would not let me drive alone. We're talking about the family car here...
Having had my license for five months (it was early March), I had an accident - not due to reckless driving but due to overcautios driving: It was snowing, and I hit the snow by the side of the road, then pulled to the left too quickly and spun out. I was extremely lucky I didn't hit any other car, no one was injured and the damage was in the $300 range.
Though I hadn't been a reckless driver before, this experience did make me fear combinations of high speeds and slick roads. Another thing that made me cautious was that the car I would occasionally drive wasn't mine. I knew it was the only car in my family, which my parents had saved up to for years and which I would have had to pay for if I'd totaled it.
Now, at 25, with a degree in computer science and a job in which I earn enough to pay for my own car, I still don't drive like an idiot. I do drive 90, even 110 often enough - but only on highways and when road/weather conditions, traffic and speed limits (i.e. the lack of such) allow it. I wouldn't have dreamed of doing that tonight on my way home from work - we had heavy rain which finally turned into the first snow of the season.
All this still depends on the individual - some people just never get it. And unfortunately, often enough stupid kids have equally stupid parents who fail to teach them something about responsibility. Stupidity gets even more dangerous when mixed with money - in this case, it became a deadly combination that cost the lives of two innocents.

Re: This happened in my town yesterday (the driver went to my daughters HS)
I haden't heard about that yet, I am from Ft. Collins also, I had a friend who lived on that corner awhile back and in the night someone lost control of their car and ran right into their living room.
