a4 1.8t auto trans wont rev past 2500
Hi my Audi a4 wont rev past around 2500 rpm the shop I took it to told me it needed a new throttle body so I got a new one and replaced it myself the car is idling low and when I hit the gas the rpm go to 2500 then quick go back down to idle and if I hold the gas down it will just go up and down and sometimes stall if I rev the car with my hand from the throttle body as so as I start to rev I hear a faint sucking noise idk I think its prob just the intake but do you think it is a possible vacuum leak i just dont know what it would be and its running a little rough and low idle but if I bring up the rpms just a tiny bit it runs smooth at about 1000 rpms

Did the shop scan the car for codes? What codes are showing up? Likely a vacuum leak. Scan the car for codes. Is the check engine light on? Does it actually work?
