Default I'm not trying to argue with anyone, just stating my own personal experience from...

riding and driving both.

Default Heh, you wish.....do the math, chipped 1.8t....more power, less weight, shorter gears........

= faster than a 2.8 (oh, w/ better fuel mileage too.) I live in Atl and occasionally show the 2.8'ers exactly what is the replacement for displacement

This is a dyno of JUST a chip. Its not 205, and 250 like the other guy said, but an exhaust will bring hp to around 210, and torque to ~250

dyno plot w/ chip and exhaust.....bye bye 2.8

Default So I stand corrected on the chip thing... BUT

shorter gears is not necessarily a good thing. I only have to shift once to hit 60.

And stock is stock - 2.8 over 1.8 any day.
