Default A4 1.8TQ/ATW water pump selection

...So assuming that I take care of that disastrous stripped bolts on the harmonic pulley and can finish my t-belt/water pump job........

I am curious, which water pump do you folks recommend... Once upon a time, when I did my water pump 7 years ago, I could find a name brand water pump made in Germany for $55, including the housing.... Now, that will just get the pump without the housing...Fine...But the bigger problem is, I can't seem to find anything made in Germany... Here's what I found so far (in no particular order)

1. Gates Water Pump 42299: $38/ Made In China / Plastic impeller...
It comes with a nice metal/rubber gasket similar to OEM.

I bought one from Amazon just to inspect... Seems like finish is ok. Not thrilled about Made in China, don't like the plastic impeller (maybe it's composite)

$38....

2. GMB 180-2230..... $41/ Made In China / Metal Impeller. Cheap paper gasket....

I previous heard good things about GMB, so I bought one from Amazon just to inspect to. Was turned off this is also made in china, it was much rougher in finish.. The gasket was a joke. It did come with a metal impeller though.

3. URO Water Pump.. I believe this is a Made in PRC water pump too....

4. GRAF/ Made in france/ Composite Impeller.

Thoughts?

5 Saleri/ Italy/ Composite Impeller.
Thoughts?

6. GEBA
Thoughts?

7. Bosch 97299 (No idea about details)
Thoughts?

8. Hepu/ Germany/ Metal Impeller
Thoughts?

Which one do people recommend?

I ended up getting the water pump made by Hepu... Metal impeller and still made in germany. Compared to the other ones that I previously ordered, this just looked built better... Total cost was around $57, which isn't much more than your Amazon specials that are made in china.

The problem was finding someone that carries them for the ATW engine...
I ended up getting mine from Pure Motorsports and picking it up in person....
EuropaParts also seemed to stock them, on the east coast...

Iv had good luck using Graf and Hepu pumps. I like the Graf pumps more for some reason, they just look and feel more high quality than Meyle, URO, or GMB stuff. Pumps for the AEB and ATW are the same. The ATW is just an AEB block with a small port head.
