The other day while driving my car just stalled. When I tried to start it would almost start then sputter out. Took it in and mechanic said it was the fuel pump. I was surprised to hear that since I personally changed the pump and filter exactly a year ago. So they replaced the filter and pump.

Just got my car back and it's losing power as I approach 4000 rpm. It's not a sputter but more of a jerking as if the car loses power intermittently until I switch to third. This happens in first or second gear but not every time. It even did it in third gear when I was going up a pretty steep hill headed towards my house. Shop is closed and I intend to call them on Monday. Any assistance?

Discovered what was causing this. The tubing between air filter and case to throttle body was loose and allowing too much air in. Tightened it but it eventually came loos again. so will try again.
