I have a 2000 A4 2.8 with the standard 16" wheels. It came with Continental 205/55/16 tires on them that appear to be all season tire. Since I live in Northern California, I am not as concerned about having all weather tires and would prefer to have tires more targeted at handling on dry pavement. Does anyone know what/if any tire sizes I can use on those wheels other than the ones that came with them and any specific tire make that is recommended?

I just put the ecsta supra 712's on my car and they easily as good as the Perelli 7000 supersports I was using before. Even better they were only $101.00 each ( I have larger wheels/tires) + a fifty dollar US savings bond...
I would easily go with 215/50's but 225's while larger may flex too much in hard driving.Just my 2 cents..
