Default A4 2.8 Tip - transmission problem. Has anybody had situation where transmission stays in lower gear

and does not want to change up when it should. This is my business partners 2001 2.8 tip. Intermitent problem with the car hot and the transmission holds lower gear (say 4th) even on highway. It can be overridden manually. Took the vehicle to the dealer who cannot find/trace fault. Any help appreciated.

Default Did they check the ECU soft codes? I know when...um..someone... a friend.. re-coded a loaner Tip, it

wouldn't auto upshift when in Tip mode. It would redline and wait for you to manually upshift.

I believe the codes are in an AW Tech article.
