Default A4 2.8l Power Loss

Hi.
If somebody can please assist me with this, my 2.8l audi is loosing extreme power at 5000 rpm, this happens in all of the gears, the moment i shift up and the rpm's drop the power is back up until 5000rpm. It actually feels like you are letting go of the throttle, the rpm's still goes up but very slowly with no torque, this just happened all of the sudden. I have checked for leaks on the vacuum system and cleaned out the air filter and MAF, but no success. Any ideas please !!!!

Hi
Thanks for the info, changed the fuel filter , no success, had a look at the butterflies which opened reaching 4500rpm, but quite slowly, removed the intake manifold change over valve vacuum canister and found a small hole in the diaphragm so i manually opened the butterflies and tested the car, performance is great, no power loss at all, will have to replace the vacuum canister.
Thanks for your help !!!!
