Default A4 2.8Q SatNav / GPS Antenna question

Anyone know where it's located?
One post said under deck, can anyone be more specific?
Seems to loose signal occasionally.
If I drive to France via channel tunnel (I'm based in UK ) then Satnav throws a fit and won't work for hours when I get back! Any ideas?

Default are you serious?

If you can't see the sky - then it can't receive any info from the sats.

The manual will probably give you info on how to recalibrate after going from one contintent to the other - also B5 cars did not have DVDs I think - so do you have the correct CDs?

Default

Within a minute of seeing the sky again it should be able to get a fix.

Default No, my handheld threw a fit when i came back from New Zealand and used it here,

it didn't know where it was, I had to reset it.
from what i can figure out its looking for the wrong satellites, all the GSP sats are geostationary orbit so there different ones above different continents

Have right CD's for UK.
Knew where I was going in France so didn't need them for that. Problem was when I cam out of tunnel when getting back home. SatNav still had me in france and was recieving no satillites out of 37!
It sometimes does this at hoem too.

Default Well here in the states I would blame it on the frogs.:)

There must be some way to reset the system. The algorithm must be getting confused and goes into a shut down mode.
I would expect you have a CD for France and a CD for the UK right?
My nav system is in a Lexus RX300 and uses a DVD - so it has the whole US on it.

You might post it on the Europe forum too.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/european/">EU Forum</a></li></ul>
