A4 and A6, same bolt pattern/offset? are wheels swapable?

Some of the A4 wheels won't fit some of the A6's due to caliper clearance issues.
Most of the A6 wheels will fit the A4's, except the 4.2...I think the 4.2 A6 uses a different offset (search on the A6 forum).
I could very well be wrong here...so double check what I'm telling you. Depending what you're trying to do...what I'm telling you might not be relevant.
