A4 Avant CD Install Question? V or H ??

I just installed my CD from Clairparts in my 99 Avant (just bought with 22,000 miles) and wondered if I did it right. It came with a slip in the box which gave instructions to set the alignment to vertical on the A4. My question is?? Is the setting V or H on the Avant? I am thinking that the standard A4 CD changer is installed ina vertical position and the Avant is horizontal.
Any ideas?

Horizontal. It will live in the little compartment, not out in the open.

It will be horizontally mounted in the bracket.

I just installed the Panasonic CXDP610 (from Crutchfield) in my 2001 Avant. It was a perfect fit horizontally, and brain-dead easy to install. I removed the cage, slid the changer into the cage, secured it with four screws in the holes that lined up perfectly, and re-installed the cage. I also needed the AUDPAN98 adapter cable. No problems, works great.
