A4 avant vs BMW 325xi wagon
#2
the BMW... I looked at it for a second when I bought my A4....
the biggest factor was money... and AWD. I think that is is a pretty wagon, no doubt... but I got a fairly loaded A4 at much less than the BMW... The cost of my A4 was nearly the base price of the BMW, and I didn't get AWD... got figure. That eliminated it pretty early on.

Your new car looks great and thanks for confirming the audi choice as that is the direction I am leaning.Infact I am giving some thought to the S4 avant which is outragous and will be rare in years to come.

yeah, if the S4 Avant was anywhere near my budget, I would be in that...
but the 1.8T is nearly as much fun (not really, but it makes me feel bettter to say that) and all the aftermarket parts make it a fun thing to play with.
I have no regrets at all about my A4... And I am begininning to think that NOT being a BMW owner is sorta nice... But if I were one, I would be fine with that... heehee

BMW dealer comment...
...on learning that I was considering the Audi: "well you know, people look at you differently when you get out of a BMW."
Yes, and that's a bad thing.
The 325xi, however, is a very nice car, despite the "snob premium" you have to pay. Comparably equipped to the A4 2.8 Avant I ordered, the BMW came in at about $3000 more.
