Default A4 B5 Brake Upgrad Suggestions - A8 Brakes?

OK, I did a search but came up with nothing. I would like to upgrade my brakes and would prefer plug and play as much as possible. I thought that I read somewhere here that you can upgrade using A8 rotors and calipers pretty easily. Is that true? Any help and advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes it's a very simple upgrade involving brake carriers from the TT, and rotors from B6A4 3.0L (previously used on the A8's).

It's available from us as a kit

Its the A8/TT kit. From what others say, its a great upgrade for the price. 312mm front rotor and TT caliper carriers. Check what Mike said, he has one of the best prices for the kit.

Thanks Mike. So does that kit include A8 calipers as well? It does not look like it. Is this upgrade typically just an increase in rotor diameter and use the stock A4 caliper? Thanks.

Yes, it uses the stock A4 calipers. Why the kit is a great upgrade for the price.

ECS tuning has a much better price. $429 versus $249 waow what a difference. It use to be cheaper.

I went with the Big Brake kit and Axxis Ultimates. I don't know what the prevoius pads were but it made a remarkable improvement.

The ECS Tuning upgrade is less expensive, but not by much. You have to buy 2 TT carriers @ $100 each and the rotors for $139 minimum. Total $339. So what have you guys with this mod noticed in increased performance? Is an upgrade for the rear a good thing to do also? I am pretty involved in the various Porsche forums and could probably snag some Boxster brakes used. What does that brake upgrade kit consist of if you piece it together yourself?

Default Avalon Motorsports Boxster brake system upgrade...

This is a great option if you are looking for something a tad more aggressive. Still a nice bang-for-the-buck...

I love them. They are not dedicated track brakes but noticeable when you touch the brake pedal. No need to change the rear brakes.
