allright folks, need a bit of help!
at the moment i'm looking for a second car foor the winter so i can preserve my 93 vw corrado. the possibility exists that i may drive the second car year round and turn the corrado into a purely weekend and nice weather toy. the winters up here in canada are pretty freakin harsh so a quattro is the solution but here's my problem....nice one to have i know but nonetheless. i can get my hands on a 97 2.8 a4 for 11k, or a 97 1.8 a4 for 13k (we'll see what the barganing skills do for me!) and a 91 coupe quattro for around 5k. over the next 5 years, which do you think would cost me more in the end?
both of the A4s have around 175k kilometers and the coupes i've seen have at least 100 more on them

not sure on the canada dollar conversion rate. but the 2.8 is a bit more reliable then the 1.8t if you plan on keeping them stock you'll probably also enjoy a little more power out of the 2.8. the 97 2.8 is not nearly as modifiable as the 1.8t. A 98.5 or newer 2.8 has a couple more mods, but still not as many as a 1.8t. That's about all I have to add tho. It's really up to you and what you plan on doing with it. and quattro kicks ***.
