Take off as many dealer adds as possibe...
That undercoating is total bull****. You can also negotiate out that PDI fee. That's basically $189 for them to remove the shipping wrap from your car, wash it, and clean up the interior prior to presenting it to you. Pure dealer profit and also pure bull****.
I got a 2001.5 1.8T Quattro, manual, Celebration package, xenon, cold, and ESP for 28232, signed, sealed and delivered.

PDI is covered by AoA. No need for you to pay.
AoA invoice prices just when up $300 for Jan1. The SoCal ad fee is also legit. It is 2% of invoice. This is charged by AoA to the dealer as part of the invoice to offset ad fees for TV, radio, and print ads.
Agree on X amount over invoice, and get it in writing signed by the sales manager. You as well as dealer have then agreed to the price at that point.
If you want to try and wheel and deal after you have commited/agreed to a price, expect the dealer to play hardball and try to screw you any way they can. They may also null the deal at that point and refund your deposit, prefering to sell the car to someone else who doesn't try to renegotiate after an agreement was already reached. Either make your agreement and stick by it, or take your chances.
Stay away from any special treatments or coatings the dealer offers. If you plan to keep the car a long time, a good extended warranty is nice. Make sure it isn't more than $2,500 for up to 7 years/100K.

Whoa... settle down there...
AoA is Audi of America, the corporate representation of Audi in the United States. PDI is a point of delivery inspection, also known as dealer prep which is covered in the invoice price of the car. You shouldn't have to pay for this again.

You might be able to swing that with a Chevy but it's unrealistic for an Audi...
Three to five percent over invoice is a fair deal. Also the Edmunds.com TMV is a pretty good goal to shoot for.
