I have a 3 inch rip on the driver's seat of my car, which has grown larger from the time I discovered it. The rip is between the seam in the leather and thread holding that part of the seat together. Is there a good quality DIY leather repair kit to fix a black seat? I'm trying to find a kit which will match the color of my interior.

If your car is a 1.8T it's vinyl not leather.Only V6 had leather as an option.

Any of the vinyl repair kits will work on small cuts but they are not strong enough to fix a seam.

I would take it to an upholstery shop, I had two torn panels replaced for under $200.
