Default A4 Lower Door Moldings tear too easiliy

For some reason, the rubber lower door moldings on my car are always getting messed up...

As of right now, I don't have the funds for S4 side skirts and a painted rear valence to match, but does anyone know how it would look if I put the S4 lower door moldings on without the side skirts (if it is even possible)? TIA

Default did you have to do any work to the door to attach the trim-gard?

i've heard of people shaving off pins or something to that effect - did you have to do anything like that? what was involved in the install?

Default Nope

Get them painted. They already have a 3M tape on the back.

Stick them on to cover existing holes from oem moldings, easy as that.

Default I was thinkin about trimgard...

But I'm planning on getting the S4 side skirts eventually anyway, so I figure why not get the lower door moldings now that I need them... It's one less thing I have to get when I get the side skirts and what not
