I was at the Milan dragway yesterday afternoon. Did 3 runs: slipped the clutch a bit at 3200rpm on each run. 72 degrees, minimal wind. 1/4 tank of Mobil 93. About 15 minites cool-down inbetween each run. Reached the 1/4 mile while still in 3rd gear. On all these runs, I was smoked by the guy next to me: a nitrous Ranger that ran the 1/4 in sub 14's (not kidding) a Camaro SS and a Mustang SVT with lots of mods. I didn't expect to beat any of them, I was just there to evaluate my car with the chip. Borla goes on today, so I'll be doing some more runs next week to evaluate the difference. Maybe I'll do a few runs stock, without the APR chip (I should have done this yesterday, but I ran out of time)
Results:
Run 1. 60ft: 2.25; 1/8mile: 10.4; 1/4 mile: 16.32 (I was slow into 3rd gear on this one)
Run 2. 2.28; 10.1; 15.74
Run 3. best run - 2.23; 10.1; 15.67

On all runs, the launch was pretty good, with zero wheel spin, and no bogging. I usually shifted at about 6700 or so, except in 3rd, where I let it run out till redline to make it to the finish before shifting to 4th. However, next time I think I'll make all of my shift points at 6200, and see if it makes any difference. The A4 just ran out of steam past 6300 or so....I think the time I'll lose in shifting into 4th will be negated by the abiliy to utilize that low-end torque again. Anyone have any suggestions for this? Whats your best time for the 1/4 with chip, w/out chip/wany any other mods?

I'll do a 1st impressions with the Borla tonight whan I get back from the shop and some driving, of course.

run was 15.29 @ 87mph. I did not intend to run my car, I was at the track to drive my friends car. I had a full tank of gas and didn't bother to take out the spare tire or jack. It was baout 70 degrees running into a headwind. 93 octane fuel.

You need to switch gears @6k, esp. with out exaust. Your car runs out of steam more at 5800.
