Hi, I recently replaced the steering rack in my 97 A4 B5 TDi,
It was a reconditioned rack and has just developed a leak from the lateral tension adjuster. this is the large nut at the bottom of the rack with 18mm head. I removed it and cannot see any form of seal, there is a rubber bung in the bottom and a spring, this seal is o.k and the fluid is dripping from around the thread. I wonder if anyone has had a problem with this and can suggest a cure. I don't really want to have to remove it again. Thanks in anticipation.
