A4 Tune up parts recommendations?
Never touched my A4 myself, but now with the warranty expired, I should. Any pointers to tune up info and parts recommendations? Plugs, gap, things to watch for, etc. 1998 A4 1.8T.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: A4 Tune up parts recommendations?
Look into having your timing belt replaced. Dealer recommends 90k, but many have had it go earlier. Most on the board would suggest around 60k.
Otherwise stick with the regular maintenance schedule. You might want to pick up a Bentley CD, if you plan on doing the work yourself, it has all the infomation you need on the how's and what's.
Adirondack (germanautoparts.com) is a good source for parts.

Thanks. On that site, the only things they have for A4's are brake discs and the Bentley CD (which I will get). For now though, all I need are some basics that I'll probably just pick up locally. I've hit 63K, so the belt change is probably good to do.

They carry everything.
Just call them, they carry most OEM parts, just not available on their web site. They're real easy to deal with, and quite knowledge parts people.
