ive beaten 3 type r's. a gsr is a joke - a chipped a4 will walk all over it.

Default My guess is either they were FakeRs, or the people driving had no idea what was going on.

The teg is a very respectable lightweight car. Just calculate out the power/weight ratios, then add in quattro drivetrain losses.

Default You ran a 14.82 w/just an authority chip +exhaust? Good driving man!

(I'm not countin SS, bpv, or filter as any significant performance gains) You sure you don't have a k04 or anything? heh.

Default i think the problem is, most of the kids with ITR's and GSR's cant drive for the life of them...

in the proper hands, an ITR is a quick car, but most of the punks around here that own them have no skills behind the wheel... Go to the drags and you will see them embarassing themselves.

Same with the Celica GT S... go to the track and I see kids running mid 16's with modded Celica GTS', my friend who is stock was running his GTS at 15.1's (on his first time to the drags)

I am just chipped and I raced a WRX with BOV and off the line i was immidiately 1 1/2 cars on him, by 1/4mph i was almost 3 cars ahead...i should have lost bad, but he could not drive

Torque plays a factor.

Certainly.. but with equal drives, a St II A4 should be no match for a Type R.

Default i race with a guy that has a turbo integra type r...he runs 12s on street tires...

we know what they are capable of...and what they arent capable of.
they run a 1/4 mile for one in 14.9 - so that there alone says they are slower. two - when you put an exhaust on an NA type r - it actually looses power, and two of the type r's i raced had exhausts. the third lost power after around 115...seems like it was just out of the power band around there and it was a breeze passing him after that. (i know he was still racing b/c i pressed on the breaks after that, and heard him still powering as he then passed me)
hope this helps =)
