Are A4's easy to have?

I own both ...
Well I own a '96 Bronco and a '96 A4. The maintenance on either one can be high. Honestly I have had nother major on either breakdown. The quality of the fit and finish is better in the Audi, but there have been German cars in my family since '81 and Audi's since '83 so I am used to the difference and appreciate it. BUt, I knew what I was getting when I got the Ford and it has exceeded my expectations. The Audi has had some annoying electrical issues. Minor, but annoying none the less. You may not be able to have the corner mechanic service the Audi, but the money you spend on a reputable shop that specializes in German cars will be worth it.
Get the A4 and enjoy it. In my opinion, I will always have an Audi of some sort. Always have since my mother's horrible head on collision in '85 that ALL 5 passengers walked away from (rollover etc.). Love the safety aspect.
Good luck.

Euro part replacements aren't available off the shelf of the likes of pepboys so it takes a bit of
effort to shop for parts/mechanic(or DIY)
A Taurus?!? dang. well, congratulations for giving it some thinking.
