I need help getting a motorcycle (and by need that means its imperative to me living ;-P) any tips from you financial guineses out there

not a good idea...
people think that is great they are debt free, etc.... but then when it comes time to get a home, car, etc. it becomes a nightmare. Not to mention try checking into a hotel without a credit card or renting a car. Good luck. Please do yourself a favor and start some credit. You don't have to use your credit cards all the time or at all, but build that credit rating!

Get some credit cards and just use them.
Credit is primarliy based on whether or not you make payments on time to whoemever you've borrow money or have some debt to. My wife and I have like out of this world credit, and we found out it's because we've never been late on a single payment, never bounced a check, etc. It's not based really on how much you make, or how many loans you have, mostly on - can you pay back on time per the loan details.... If you've shown that you have paid on time in the past, then most likely you will in the future - hence good credit.
Kinda weird, but that's about it. So, get some credit cards, buy a few things a month on them, pay off the bills on time or early, and that will start to build up some credit.

I know Ive just been putting it off cuz Im kinda an impulse person...
but paying cash has its advantages to...imagine walking into an Audi dealership with a duffle bag with 30 grand in it and just dumping it on the table...I wish I had a camera there...especially when they said they couldnt take cash and I had to go to the bank to get a cashiers check ;-P

Exactly!
We don't even use our credit car that much, but we have a credit card limit that would buy an A4. The dealership actually would've let us too - I couldn't believe that one!
