About to apply some touch up paint...anyone have any suggestions? (more)
I have a silver car, aluminum silver metallic to be exact. I'm going to apply some touch up to the front pass. side bumper, where there are some scratches that go deep, past the paint, to the black plastic. This should hold me over for a while. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Yes!
Try this...
Apply the paint into the chip with a toothpick. Try to "drain" the paint off the toothpick so it fills the chip completely leaving a small dome-like bubble.
Let it dry for about 2 hours....
Now comes the trick...
Take an piece of old cottom t-shirt fabric, about 12" square, and wrap it around a credit card... with a clean stretched layer on one side of the card. Hold the bunched up fabric on the other side.
Apply a dab of clearcoat polishing compound to the bubble with your finger. And rub the card flat against the bodywork.
This will smooth away the excess, semi-hard dome of paint, leaving paint only inside the chip and the surface smooth.
Soounds harder than it really is, but it works like a charm... If you have any exposed metal, make sure you get ride of any rust, and prime first.

Not true. Polishing compound will affect all surrounding paint too. Langka won't.
Langka affects only newly-applied touch-up paint. It has no effect at all on the surrounding paint (I've used it). It's nonabrasive, and therefore is completely different from polishing compound.

Yes, but "clear coat" compound is only slightly more abrasive than polish...
and it works just as well... and that silly Langka stuff is like $25.00 for a tiny bottle of swirl remover...
Believe me, my friend used that Langka stuff, and my way works exactly the same way...
You can even do it with polish or swirl remover...
