Thanks in advance to all who helped out.
To begin ABS light is solid yellow. E-brake not on or flashing. ONLY ABS LIGHT ON.
I was trying to replace my rear rotors on my 99 A4 yesterday and had some trouble. I didn't purchase new wheel bearings however the trouble is after i put everything back together. After taking off one rotor I knocked out the slotted ring on the back side it... must be something for the sensor. I put it back on but it now feels like its hitting the sensor when i spin the rotor. maybe it did that before i messed with everything but i sure know my ABS light was never on.
Everything back on and Im driving it around. Initially ABS ligt is NOT on however everytime I came to a stop I could feel the ABS kicking in. Come to a stop sign at 10 mph and ABS kicks in again. Then I get on the highway ABS light comes on and when I come to an exit the ABS is NO LONGER working or kicking in. It had to that slotted ring that I knocked off the rotor.
My question is... in what postion should the slotted thing be in? Should it be touching the sensor when i put in back on or should I knock the slotted thing in more so it doesn't touch.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks again fellas.

that the "reluctor ring" must be out of place. Here is a good site for my ABS issue. not my vehicle but good info in general. Looks like it needs to be placed just right... yikes!
