Default ABS issues.....so my ABS light came on today....

and it goes off/on not when driving really, but more like every other time I start the car. I noticed just now when pulling into my spot that the ABS felt like it was engaging on dry pavement. What are some potential problems you guys have been faced with? Initially I thought it was a loose connection from when I had my Boxster brakes installed....but now I'm thinking it's a bigger problem.

Sounds like a sensor is not seated all the way in quite right, or is faulty.

Default cool thanks man. I guess potentially it could be the abs module too?

I was trying to feel a difference in the brake pedal since the light has gone on, but there doesn't seem to be much change.

Default i have the same problem.

when it first happened, it just happened the one time and i didn't see it again for a couple days. it's progressively gotten worse where the ABS and brake lights stay on for a while and it seems to happen about 75% of the time that i'm driving now.

when i read the code, it said something about the abs not being able to communicate to the instrument panel (or something along those lines). When researching the code more, the common cause is a faulty ABS module.

The only time i've really felt any difference is when i have my foot on the brake and the ABS decides to kick back in and i feel a slight resistance at the brake pedal for a split second (assuming that's the ABS being applied briefly). sounds like the same thing you're experiencing.

I've been putting off replacing the ABS module, as it's just an annoyance more than anything. But, I do plan on getting it fixed before the winter hits and i do any real driving in the snow.
