without abs connected it defaults to a fully loaded condition-> 50/50 bias split.
this effect is documented and warned about on the module master site. it is a function of bosch abs 5.x
ive been driving over a year without the abs connected, i am very familliar with this effect.

They have a lot listed for:
"97-01 A4,A6 w/o Nav, w/o ESP, W/ ASR"
My car is 99.5 A4 1.8T Quattro, no ESP, no ASR, no Navigation.
Does anyone know the O.E. and VM number of the module that I need? Thanks guys!

You might pop the hood on your A4 and look at the top of the ABS unit(see pic) in the engine bay. On the top(silver/stainless part), should be an OEM part#(example:8E0-614-111-A) as well as a factory Bosch part#(example 0-265-220-408).Both of my fingers in the pic are pointing to the location of both factory part numbers. Just match them up to the one that BBA has listed for your car. This way there is no mistake, unless you click on the wrong tab. Hope this helps.
