Default AC Electric Fan Wont Kick On Neither Will Compressor Clutch Engage

1996 Audi A4 12V V6
Auto Transmission

I had the system charged but the electric fan wouldn't kick on and I believe that the compressor wont kick on if the fan doesn't or vice verso.. What is the correct order of logic in this case? Does the fan running invoke the compressor or does the compressor running invoke the fan? All of the wiring looks ok but are there any fuses related to the electric fan? If so where at? Regardless of whether the system has juice or not ( I think I have a leak as well ) should the electric fan kick on or at least when pressing the ac button? Please reply to John.H.Williams@verizon.com thanks!!

Default What does the exterior temp gauge read?

If it's reading below 0 degrees...that could be why the AC compressor is shut off.

Default Re: What does the exterior temp gauge read?

It reads normal 70-96 degrees depends on how hot it is out that day. On that note what does the exterior temperature sensor look like a little rubber doodad that has a wire coming out of it going up to the harness?

Default It's in front of the radiator and AC condensor...attached to the top of the power str

cooling loop. It has a wiring harness attached to it.

Default Figured It out! Missing AC High Pressure Switch

I finally got my home computer up and running. I had gotten the Bentley CD and Installed and activate it then my copmputer blew up when I hauled it outside to hook up my VAG-COM unit and being the CD activation scheme will only allow you to activate it on one machine you have to call bentley support to get a new activation code and of course only during the time I was at work you could call and you had to be in front of the machine when you call so didn't work out for me! To make a long story short I looked thru the manual and I seen what the ac high pressure switch was and being I replaced the condensor I must have missed moving the swithc from the old unit to the new.
